Emery the Rabbit needs a home
The Magicis 7 (Araleesi, Asher, Calista, Emery, Jade, Killian, Malakai) were born on Dec 9th 2015 to Liliana, who was a stray picked up only 2 weeks prior. They are named after characters in the newly-published book Ashes of Betrayal by our very own J. Dawn. Mom was an English Lop mix but all of their ears are upright so no telling what daddy was. The "twins" Emery & Jade lived together for a year but in August 2016 they decided to not to be so friendly with one another and are now housed singly. Emery is active and curious but not real keen on being held or petted and squirms when you hold her, but comes up to investigate you and take treats from hands. She has been around gentle dogs, cats, and older children, and is GREAT with the litterbox in her 6' condo. She went on a trial run to be friends with another bun in the past and didn't mind a "roommate" but wasn't interested in getting close, even after a couple months
This bunny is currently fostered in Covington, LA.
All MHRR rabbits are spayed or neutered and are now microchipped or previously tattoed with "MHR" in the ear. Adoption fees are $50 for single bunnies or $80 for already-paired rabbits. Adoption days are held at Petsmart on Millerville in Baton Rouge (see our website for dates) though we can also schedule appointments outside of those days.
